Welcome to my little corner of the web!
Productivity is over rated. In fact, I wonder if maybe the internet wasn't invented in an attempt to disguise loafing around as legitimate work. Be that as it may, there are those of us that take the internet quite seriously (I know, kinda sad) and spend a lot of our time looking for interesting stuff. During my voyages across the old triple w, I have come across many sites. Some where pretty good, and some were amazingly horrible. I figured what better way to break in here at Reachby.com then to share with everyone the cool stuff I have found in my time on the internet.
This is part 1 of a two part list (got to love being kept in suspense) so before you go yelling at me for not putting on your favorite site let the rest of them show up. Then you can yell at me all you want. Also, if you think I rated a particular site to high or to low, leave a comment and let me know. Now without further ado part 1...
10: Google.
Many people think that Google is just a search engine. How wrong they are. The geniuses who came up with the worlds best search engine also offer everything ranging from videos to business tools. What really makes them rock is that it hardly costs you a dime to use any of it. Of course they do use their own adwords, but that is just smart business.
9: MMORPG.com
Play games on the internet? Then you absolutely must visit this site. Not only does it have the most expansive list of MMORPG's on the internet, but it also has interesting articles, hints on various games, and a place to do a bit of social networking. If you decide you are tired of one game, this site is the place to go to find another one.
8: Wikipedia
You just have to love a site that allows you to learn about almost anything. You may want to double check anything you find here before using it on a term paper, it's information is generally pretty sound. Another great aspect of this site is the fact you can add your own stuff as well. Just do those of us with OCD a favor and get it right the first time around.
7: Youtube
While it may not have been the first site of it's kind, it certainly has become the largest and most visited. You can watch stupid people do even stupider things, keep up with your favorite musicians, or even post your own videos. Who knows, you might just become the next internet sensation.
6: Pandora
Traditional radio may be dead, but Pandora makes internet radio worth while. You can select the artists you want to listen too without being subjected to annoying commercials. Yes, to really take full advantage of this site you need to pay, but what you get for free isn't that bad.
5: Twitter
The first of two social networking sites to make this list, Twitter has gone from a small but fun web app to becoming one of the most necessary elements for any online marketing campaign. While businesses tend to use it to try and sell there stuff, it is also a great way to stay connected with friends all over the planet.
That is it for today, the rest of the list will be showing up in the next couple days or so...
